WHY DONATE?
What do you need money for?
We need funds to maintain this beautiful , ancient building and churchyard, to pay for heating and lighting and to contribute to our vicar's salary. We currently need to raise just over £15,000 per year to cover all of these costs. In common with other Anglican churches, St Mary's is maintained and run solely at the expense of our parishioners and donors. As a small parish of just 122 homes, it's a constant challenge to raise this amount of money, so all financial assistance is really appreciated.
Don't you get money from the Church of England?
Actually no - it's the other way around! This church gives just over £8,000 back to the Church of England every year.
