Informal food bank
Give what you can
Take what you need
Voucher-free food bank
Mindful of the effects that soaring prices are having on everybody, we have started an informal food bank at St Mary's. It's a free resource for the local community. There's no need for a voucher and you don't need to register to be eligible - it's there so that anybody struggling to afford food and household basics can take what they need. The church is open 24/7 so you can pop in any time without having to let anyone know.
If you're able to give:
We are dependent on donations of non-perishable items, and donations are gratefully received.
Please do give:
Non-perishable items such as cereal, tinned foods, pasta, rice, pasta sauce, tea, coffee, long-life milk and juice, toiletries, washing-up liquid and laundry detergent.
Please don't give:
Perishable or fresh products / anything close to or past its sell-by date.
If you're worried about money and would like to be prayed for:
Either write your request in the prayer request book in the church or email stmaryswelshnewton@gmail.com.
